With Shelley's friend Den arriving today from Dubai via the UK we spent the morning exploring Freemantle, or as the locals call it Freeo (Most names here are shortened with an o or an i added at the end) after a short trip to one of the beaches I let the girls catch up and took refuge in an Internet cafe.
Despite not finding any Filby's on the list of initial immigrants to Oz it would appear the genes are here somewhere as on closer inspection of a $10 note I found a picture of myself.
So who is this lady with such fine looks? Mary Gilmore was a prominent Australian Poet, Socialist and Journalist. I am sure If I had ever met here we would have got on fine.
