Day 168 April 26th 2007, Meet the family - Brisbane

When Shelley told me that Dani and Mark had 4 kids I never really gave it much thought, I mean how much trouble could they be ;-) Meeting them all at breakfast this morning Brad (9), Zane (6), Clay (3) and Courtney (10 months) were all a little too quiet for my liking. Quiet before the storm perhaps.

From left to right Clay, Brad, Zane and myself

With Brad and Zane off to school we took a short trip out to do one of the most boring jobs I can imagine, claim back some of our medical costs from the vaccinations. I guess it must be the fact that the administrator at the medicare center has to answer the same questions all day but it was something in her tone that told me she wasn't cut out for dealing with the public

Dani and Courtney

Courtney was the first to come out of the quiet phase that kids go into when they meet new people with her rendition of "are we nearly there yet" at the top of her voice while trying to escape from her baby seat. I have just about regained my hearing.

After stopping for lunch at the beach we headed back to Dani's for a very welcome home cooked dinner, getting to know the rest of the family over dinner and for the family back in the UK heres a low down on the kids.

Brad - When not standing on his head is a master carpenter and contortionist, able to squeeze through a bookcase he made, which I couldn't even get over my head.

Zane - Proving in the photo above that it is possible to hover in mid air. Future Quantas Airline Pilot and Lego builder extraordinaire

Clay - Far too knowledgeable with computers for a 3 year old, turn your back and the little rascal would change the desktop background which he found highly amuzing

Highlights: Taking it easy and having a great time with Dani and the kids
